Royals steal one from the Rangers

It took the Kansas City Royals three games but they finally managed to beat the Texas Rangers when Salvador Perez knocked in a solo home run in the 8th inning.  Texas had previously won their first two meetings of the series.

“I think it was a big win for us today,” Perez said. “We have a happy flight and … tomorrow, we’re going to play hard against Minnesota and do everything we can to win the game, win the series.”

The Series against the Twins begins tonight at 7:10 with game two Tuesday and game three on Wednesday.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today and help cheer on your Kansas City Royals.

Royals hope 2013 is the year to get back to the playoffs

It has been since 1985 that the Kansas City Royals have made it to the post season but hope abounds in Spring Training for the Boys in Blue.

Highly touted youngsters like Eric Hosmer, Lorenzo Cain and Salvador Perez hope to make an impact in 2013 and help veteran hitters Bill Butler and Alex Gordon form a formidable offense.  It’s the defense that is suspect but an easy April schedule may help to gel the squad.
