Royals avoid Astros Sweep

I-70 Series continues

The Houston Astros have been on a bit of a tear lately and came into Kauffman Stadium and took games one and two of a three game stand.  The Royals finally responded last night, especially Kendry Morales’s 2nd home run which sparked a five-run seventh inning.

“Quite frankly, he (Morales) could’ve had three homers today,” Royals manager Ned Yost said. “He blasted that first ball, but the wind was blowing straight in.  He’s seeing the ball really, really well right now and swinging the bat very well for us.”

The Royals now prepare for the St. Louis Cardinals (39-35, 2nd place NL Central)  Danny Duffy (2-1, 3.38 ERA) will start for the Royals and go up against the Cardinals Adam Wainwright (6-4, 4.73 ERA).

Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to grab yours today and help cheer on your KC Royals!
