Royals steal one from the Rangers

It took the Kansas City Royals three games but they finally managed to beat the Texas Rangers when Salvador Perez knocked in a solo home run in the 8th inning.  Texas had previously won their first two meetings of the series.

“I think it was a big win for us today,” Perez said. “We have a happy flight and … tomorrow, we’re going to play hard against Minnesota and do everything we can to win the game, win the series.”

The Series against the Twins begins tonight at 7:10 with game two Tuesday and game three on Wednesday.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today and help cheer on your Kansas City Royals.

Royals remain undefeated

It is very early on in the season but the Kansas City Royals have stormed out of the gates this season and are on a record setting pace in the American League.  With successful series’ against the the White Sox and the Angels, the Royals slammed the Minnesota Twins 12-3 Monday night.  Game two of the three game stand is tomorrow night at 7 P.M.

During Monday’s game, Alex Rios was hit with a 93-MPH fastball thrown by Twins pitcher J.R. Graham.  He was taken to a local hospital for x-rays.

“I’m going to guess I’m going to be good,” Rios said.
